Feghouli Coming good
I thought Feghouli was looking great in the 15 mins before the sending off.

He was linking really well with Antonio making 1 - 2s up the wing and getting on goal
Made a lovely back heel pass that showed real skill and had me really anticipating some excellent football especially as we kind of controlled the opening minutes.

I expect the red card to be cancelled and hope to see more starts for Feghouli

He has a chance now to really have a go.He will almost certainly start against City on Friday.
I feel he will want to show Bilic and the fans he is worth keeping.

"If he had a decent first touch on the ball, the red card incident would not have occurred".

The whole team seem to suffer from poor first touches or if they do control the ball they treat it like it was a hand grenade thrown in their fox hole!

They need to get a fucking grip.

Technically he is a decent player. Not up to the speed of the Premier League perhaps but I'd still like to see more of him to see what he can do.
It's a shame we didn't get into the Europa League for players like him and Nordtveit who I think would have done well in those games.

No more than an average first 15 minutes imho

Agreed Ron,he also lost the ball and walked back instead of running trying to retrieve the ball, totally unacceptable.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
People need to consult an optician if they think he was any good during his 15 minutes.
I know he was the victim of an injustice, but get a GRIP!

If he had a decent first touch on the ball, the red card incident would not have occurred.

>>> And i struggle how common sense tells you Zaza is in fact a good football player

Which is not really what I said. I said that you have to use your eye to judge a player, and a bit of common sense to back it up. My eye told me Zaza was never going to be much of a player for us, and to me that's the most important thing. Though I think it's reasonable to also think he probably suits Serie A a bit better given his better record there.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
Zaza and Feghouli are clearly decent footballers, but the Premiership is also a different ball game to where they have been used to playing and they won't be the first or last johnny foreigners to stuggle with the pace of it.

In Fegs case, here's hoping he settles into it and turns out putting in the sort of performances he did in Spain.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
Cool, so direct comparison there from you to Antonio, who came good with games, as most on this thread think Feghouli will.

Night Rossal, try not to lick too many windows on your way home.

"he needs games, he needs time, but at the moment it's not looking likely."

The question is not COULD he improve but WILL HE ? Will he with games, maybe....unless Antonio gets injured will he get games. Nope. Reason why he has been linked with loan moves away too.

Re: Feghouli Coming good Red card rescinded
I'd imagine he'll get significant playing time in the next three matches, so we will get a decent look at him.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
Why do you feel the need to make things up you oddball? When did I say he won't improve?

You really are quite odd, why can't you just accept that people have differing opinions? not everyone agrees with you, which is hugely highlighted on this thread.

But i will only ever care how good they are in our shirt to be honest....

And i struggle how common sense tells you Zaza is in fact a good football player

Re: Feghouli Coming good
Ok marvellous

So i said i dont think he will improve

You said he will, if he gets game time..........which you just admitted he wont (which is in part to his performances thus far)

So therefore you agree he wont improve

Always the long way round with me and you :)

As you imply, in Zaza's case a bit of common sense tells you that he's probably not as bad as he looked for us this season.

Trevor B 5:27 Wed Jan 4
Re: Feghouli Coming good
And there was me thinking you were getting it....

My point is this, I believe that with regular game time he will improve, he is a very decent player but needs some game time to prove it, much like Antonio did. The problem is that, as I have said (please listen this time) others are established and he's struggling to get a run. If we didn't have the injuries we had last season then Antonio may well have not been the player we have now, and in fact there was talk of him going back to forest on loan because Bilic seemingly had no interest in giving him a run out at the time.

Now, do you understand??? he needs games, he needs time, but at the moment it's not looking likely. With that in mind it's very easy to write a player off, as no doubt many would have done earlier last season regarding Antonio.

Rossal 5:23 Wed Jan 4
Re: Feghouli Coming good
Trevor B 5:13 Wed Jan 4

So we should wait until we are forced to play him and hope he turns out like Antonio or you think we should give him a run and hope he can oust Antonio at RW?

Zaza has played for Juve for years and has 16 Italy caps.

Re: Feghouli Coming good
On present form he wouldn't displace Antonio, but he did look on it against Man U shame it had a premature end

Alex V 5:16 Wed Jan 4
Re: Feghouli Coming good
In situations like this you have to use your eye to judge a player, alongside a little common sense to back it up. 200 appearances for Valencia tells you the player is very unlikely to be a fraud.
